Soft (Double or Triple Creme) Cheese on Bagels

By Ben Adler

Try it for breakfast. Especially on a toasted bagel. Yes you can use brie, but there are better choices such as san andre, camembert and humboldt fog. It spreads well, just like cream cheese, but it has a more complex flavor. Maybe add a roasted pepper or sun dried tomato.

  1. the frugal bagel

    i bagel to differ…
who can afford fine camembert these days?
temptee whipped cream cheese was made for toasted poppy seed bagels:-)

  2. Whipped cream cheese is pretty good. Any old goat cheese will work well too

  3. I love San Andre triple creme cheese. I’ve never put it on a bagel or eaten it for breakfast though. I’ll usually get a fresh loaf of bread and smear it on hunks of that.

  4. Try chocolate goat cheese … sweet tangy goodness.

  5. I have to suggest Rollingstone Farms anise and lavender chevre. It was made for a toasted sesame bagel.
